Weapons maintenance

This is not really a PM post.

I don’t do a lot of deep cleaning but here and there I will wipe the BCG and reapply lube where needed. During this time I’ll check if anything needs to be replaced and then I reassemble and shot-put it all back into the gear room. If this weapon were carried for work purposes I would probably have a schedule for consumable parts replacement.

Some people adhere to a schedule of preventative maintenance, I just replace stuff as it breaks or as soon as I notice a difference in operation. Is this what will work best for you? Probably not.

Today I swapped out an old VLTOR A5H2 buffer for no reason other than it was a decade old and Pew Therapy gifted me new one. Check out the difference between the two.
